Siren Launches Next Wave Of Connected Boat Technology

Siren Marine, a leader in connecting boaters remotely with their vessels via a central hub and mobile apps, has launched its MTC (for Monitor/Track/Control) boat monitoring and tracking system.

With MTC, there's no need for midnight panic attacks worrying about how your boat's bilge is keeping up with the torrential rain, how the batteries are holding their charge, or if a joyriding thief is taking your baby out for a spin.

More than two years in development, MTC uses an onboard processor, a 56-channel GPS, and a Vodafone global 3G SIM, and pairs with wired and wireless sensors and all-new iOS and Android apps.

Affordable (starting at $600), easy to install, and simple to use, MTC is tailored for a wide variety of boats — from trailerable skiffs and large center-consoles to cruising sailboats and trawlers.

The system will also automatically alert owners via the Siren Marine app to a variety of critical conditions, such as unauthorized entry/motion, battery voltage, bilge status, temperature and vessel location. The ability to remotely trigger an alarm or control cabin and cockpit lights, air conditioning, battery switches, and more from a phone or tablet not only enhances security, but also reduces prep time and helps get boaters out on the water and having fun faster.

MSRP for the MTC is $599, providing battery monitoring and GPS tracking/location out of the box with additional sensors available. The MTC-Plus, which will be available later this year, includes the base unit and four wireless sensors for $799. Annual, monthly, and seasonal service plans are available starting at $15 per month.
